The steps and actions required for planning should be identification of objectives, identification of policies to achieve the objective, development of programs, development of action plans and monitoring of objectives. The political context of each issue should be at the forefront of every administrator's mind. I don't think it's possible to separate the political from the rational and why would you do that? Schools and the people who live in them are products of politics, and attempting to separate the two is naïve (Johnson & Kruse, 2010). Context in an invaluable concept that gives meaning to all ideas, statistics and data. Without context we are limited to very abstract ideas. The decision-making context refers to many dynamic and variable factors such as the following: cultural, social, organizational, resources, temporal, risk, etc. (Johnson & Kruse, 2011). All the different factors that led to that decision, are influenced by the decision, and influence the decision constitute the “context”. As a middle school administrator, my context is the school system, teachers, students, cultures, demographics, politics, etc. Experience pays dividends when dealing with context-rich decisions. Every decision is made up of factors that
