Health policy is a well-rooted area in European politics and society. The issue of healthcare takes on different roles and involves many different things in many European countries. Many countries in Europe use a form of state healthcare system, while others adopt a hybrid plan between government and private healthcare, while others adopt a form of private healthcare entirely. Of the two countries I will focus on Italy and Great Britain and the issue of healthcare in their two respected countries, further analyzing how they were formed, what their policy entails and how it works, and also the similarities and differences between the two countries. policies and, through that information, the pros and cons of each plan. When looking at the issue of healthcare and politics, it is best known as a policy that seeks to address medical issues for the citizens of each respected country. These medical services are provided through something known as health insurance. First of all, this insurance can be purchased through state or private insurance companies. Secondly, you try to see what these health plans and insurances provide, i.e. doctor visits, medications, medical procedures and surgeries and many other things that may differ depending on the plans provided. But also the health policy also looks at the provider and that is the hospitals and doctors, it could be private or public hospitals, or the policy could be one where people can choose their own doctors or receive doctors. These are the multiple issues that make up a health policy and the different options it entails focusing mainly on a government health policy or a private health policy. Italy is a country that has a health policy...... of paper... completely managed and managed by the government. It is a healthcare system provided by the government and paid for through taxation of UK citizens. The UK healthcare system is run by the UK National Health Service or NHS (Allianz). This is healthcare that in some cases is considered inexpensive and free. This British health program covers medical treatments and doctor visits, but requires payment for medications, vision tests, glasses and even dental care (Allianz). Regarding doctors in the UK healthcare system, individuals are not given the opportunity to choose their doctor. In the UK there are both private and state hospitals. As for hospitals, not all hospitals provide emergency room services, but those that do will treat any individual (Allianz).
