They have the right to vote, work, education and many other things. Old gender roles in which women stayed at home and never worked or went to school for an education have slowly disappeared. Although women are still looked down upon in the workplace, women in America definitely have more rights than other women in other countries. “In recent years, women have been able to end gender discrimination by large insurance companies and obtain free contraceptive coverage through the Affordable Care Act. Despite women's progress, however, substantial inequities remain” (Chu ). Women have achieved many things in America, probably more than most women in other countries, but there are still inequalities that women face in America. An example would be that women in America still get paid less than men and women don't take politics seriously, there are still many things women need to do
