Public policy is the invisible thread that connects every aspect of society. In a person's daily life, the interconnectivity of social constructions and public policies, as well as how public policies maintain an overall control over the way society functions, is rarely contemplated. Policies and, more specifically, public policies are the “systems of rules and standards that influence the public interest and are established by regulatory bodies such as parliaments, legislative bodies and administrative regulatory agencies”. (Guess and Farnham, 7) These rules and standards govern every aspect of a person's life. From the temperature of the coffee served to fuel delivery systems, from road rules to insurance policies, one cannot function in society without being explicitly or implicitly controlled and regulated by public policy. Although people believe that this correlation can be ignored, and is often ignored, due to the idea that it is difficult to understand and influence, the best option is rather to understand how these public policies are created and implemented and the impact they have . will have on someone's life. Cases in Public Policy Analysis, by George Guess and Paul Farnham, aims to explain and understand the public policy process through textual explanations and real-life examples of public policy cases. To understand this process as a whole, or at least try to, it is necessary to dissect “the whole process” and examine the smaller components that make up the whole of public policies. Cases in Public Policy Analysis examines this process by doing just that, separating the process into seven distinct parts that interact with each other, but are also separate entities within itself. Determine... half of the paper... training presented. As stated previously, the information presented can be both dense and dry. Using real-life cases instead of made-up textual problems helps make reading more enjoyable. One consideration when writing material like this is to find the best possible balance between information and writing that interests the reader. What this book aims to achieve is to provide the reader with an introductory education in public policy analysis. It also aims to provide the reader with a different point of view on public policy making. The economic perspective of the book is an addition to the topic that differentiates this book from others on the same topic. Readers who wish to understand this process must consider multiple perceptions of the process. Adding more perspectives will only increase knowledge and understanding of public policy.
