Gender is a sociological factor that is a set of relationships, attributes, roles, beliefs and attitudes of human beings. On the other hand, sexuality can be divided into two traits. The first is biological; the second is physiological. The biological characteristic concerns the difference in sexual organs, the production of estrogen or testosterone. Physiological trait concerns the difference in facial features, bone size, shoulders, muscles, fat problems. According to the American Psychological Association, gender and sexuality influence and are influenced by cultural, political, legal and philosophical aspects of life. Since popular culture is today's culture, which is always based on universal activities, it is easy to alter the human mind, so the concept of gender and sexuality would be easier to change. Therefore, this essay will discuss how popular culture influences gender and sexuality in human attitudes. At the beginning, the relationship between everyday culture and mass media culture is closed, but there are some differences between popular culture and traditional culture. Traditional culture is known as "high culture" which refers to literature, art, music, etc. However, popular culture is produced by mass media, it could be known as low culture. People used to entertainment or relaxation. It shared and spread rapidly across groups, communities, societies, and so on. Some people might say that popular culture helps us understand the world better because of the globalization factor. According to D Gauntlett (2008), media and communications are a central element of modern life, while gender and sexuality remain at the heart of how we live. think about our identities. In modern societies, people spend more hours watching television, watching... middle of paper... reality because everyone should have the opportunity to do what they want. Popular culture spread the idea of the nautaral which changed the position of women in the universal. Women's knowledge and skills seem to have increased a lot since the 1990s. The woman would be a successful businessman, worker, firefighter, and so on. As mass media becomes the most important part of communication on earth, the most influential part that influences human attitudes is domestic or romantic drama. He spread the different concepts to families, neighbors, friends, etc. through interaction with each other. Nowadays movie heroes are not resolutely distributed, the gender and sexuality of people or heroes should all be the same. Works Cited Huat, C. B. (2010). Korean pop culture.
