Topic > Torrt and five crimes in the saga of Dirk and Dagmar

After questioning The saga of Dirk and Dagmar I arrived at five wrongs and five crimes. When I talk about torts and crimes, I will identify the people involved and whether there are any defenses. The first act of wrongdoing occurred when Al convinced Joe to come into the WRB after hours and copy the plans for the new engine. He downloaded the files onto a USB stick and handed them to al. This is a tort because the tortious act interferes with WRB's property. Joe would be the defendant and the plaintiff would be WRB because they are victims of the theft. The only defense I can see is that they couldn't prove that Joe committed the crime because he turned off the power and the security cameras, and also the fact that he is no longer alive but the plans are in the hands of Dirk and Dagmar. who technically did not commit the offense themselves. They already know that the plaintiff (WRB) was injured due to a theft of prints that were not usable by anyone outside of the facility. This is considered an intentional tort because Joe was infringing. Now, breaking in was considered a crime by the government, so Joe's wrongful act of breaking into the WRB could also be considered a crime. Joe would still be considered the defendant, but WRB would still be considered the victim of trespassing and trespassing. In order for WRB to recover money for the damages Joe caused, WRB would have to sue Joe and they would need proof of his trespassing. None of the defenses would apply to this tortious act. The second wrongdoing allegedly occurred when Dirk and Dagmar examined the plans and saw that they clearly had the WRB logo on them and chose to ignore the fact. This could be considered... a paper medium... by the local boats at the port. Lou steals an engine from an old WRB prototype that was docked at their private dock. He then sells it to Dirk and Dagmar for $50,000. The crime of engine theft is a misdemeanor and a crime. It is a misdemeanor because his crime hinders WRB and their stolen property. The defendant would be Lou and the plaintiff would be WRB. Now this situation is also a crime, because theft and trespassing are illegal by the government and Lou committed these illegal acts considered a crime by the state and federal government. The victim would be WRB and the defendant would once again be Lou. Lou has no defenses. It would be surprising to know that people would do anything to become champion of a speedboat race. Stealing, breaking and entering, and murder are terrible acts to commit in order to win a rowing race at the end of the day.
