Waste materials from industries and domestic activities are disposed of directly into nearby lakes or oceans. This activity directly affects aquatic animals and indirectly affects humans who eat marine animals such as fish. Contaminated water consumed by people causes skin diseases. Some people throw waste materials like plastic bottles and dirt into the water, as a result the water gets polluted and people again use that water in daily activities, also causing multiple diseases. Oil leakage from ships into the ocean is the other source of water pollution. Oil is insoluble in water, which forms thick sludge that depletes oxygen levels for the marine environment
