Students admitted that "single-sex schools helped them develop self-confidence, assertiveness and a strong sense of identity." Gender-segregated schools allow boys and girls to fill jobs that would not necessarily be available to their gender in a co-educational school. Additionally, in an all-female environment, girls learn that they too can become leaders and hold positions that only men usually hold. Likewise, boys feel more confident answering questions without girls laughing at them. Without the pressure of the other gender, children have more confidence in being one gender
