It is this assumption that has led to the recognition of the danger that if you focus exclusively on one within the framework you will not identify the individual's core problem. According to (Tones and Green, 2004) the social model “brings with it a clear commitment to social and perhaps political change by focusing on social factors”, this tells us that if professions such as nursing used this approach they could understand the relationship between individuals health views as they may suffer from social exclusion due to having a diagnosis. There is an important criticism that both models share as the view on health is very isolated, as the social model actually has a broader representation of health but does not implement a holistic view of health compared to the medical model as its only purposes are centered around the social status of the individual. The main weakness of both models has given rise to the attempt to put together a more coherent meaning of health starting from a combination of the two
