Georges Braque was born on May 13, 1882 and was an artist raised in France. He learned fine art painting at the École des Beaux-Arts and received numerous awards for his works. In 1912 he experimented more with Cubism with Pablo Picasso and invented the papier collé technique. Georges Braque created the first artwork using the collé paper technique, the painting titled Fruit Dish and Glass. He previously trained as a house painter and decorator, his father and grandfather passed that skill down to him and so Georges Braque realizes that the spatial relationships in his works are damaged by the use of paper that appears realistic but
