Topic > Who killed Vincent Foster? - 846

Vince Foster's suicide is perhaps not as mysterious as the conspiracy theory leads us to believe. Maybe it was just suicide, or maybe Vince couldn't deal with the twists and turns of Capitol politics. In this study, we will explore two articles based on the premise that Vince's depression was the catalyst that led him to commit suicide. Reviewing the third article brings us back to the conspiracy circle, to why news outlets wanted to kill the story so quickly. The deeper we go, the more convoluted the plot appears. I propose to you that Vince Foster did not commit suicide. Isikoff, Morganthau (1994) began this article by establishing this premise: "[m]onstream journalists have sought a connection between Foster's death and the Whitewater scandal, seeking a sharp angle to an otherwise dull and complicated story" (p.17 ) This statement opens their latest article in Newsweek several days after independent attorney Robert Fiske found that Foster had taken his own life and rejected any connection to Whitewater. Robert Fiske's 58-page report is a harrowing account of the collapse of one of the president's most trusted aides (Isikoff, Morganthau, 1994, p.17) The Wall Street Journal editorial page, in particular, was criticized for mocking Foster as a member of the Rose law firm clique that he secretly ran. the government (Isikoff, Morganthau, 1994, p.17). Fiske's report makes clear, however, that Foster was depressed even before arriving in Washington (Isikoff, Morganthau, 1994, p.17). According to Fiske's report, "Foster had been suffering from what his wife described as 'panic attacks,' characterized by heavy sweating and a strained voice." (Isikoff, Morganthau, 1994, p.17) All signs indicate that Foster was indeed at the center of the paper… these charges were not clear, but they probably involved the Clintons” (Corry, 1993). Many of the questions, issues surrounding the investigation, the investigators' actions, and more; will never be answered. Some of the strange events are the discrepancy between the White House statement and the testimony of witnesses at the scene and location of the investigation. Furthermore, the degree of inattention shown by the federal agents and Park authorities in charge of the investigation is overwhelming. Ever since a White House official was found dead under mysterious circumstances, his body found on federal land, a successful lawyer took his own life, and the investigation was full of rookie mistakes. The best guess that creates an aura of deniability is a series of unfortunate events, or maybe Vince Foster didn't commit suicide..
