What should our goals be in life? Bill Strickland points out that no matter who you are, you can do anything you set your mind to. In his book “Making the Impossible Possible” he explains his struggle and how he overcame life to be able to help others. He explains his young childhood. He talks about how he had to live with riots and racism. He talks about how he wanted to help people improve their lives. He explains his difficulties in trying to maintain these buildings and how he has made great connections. She talks about her love for ceramics and her desire to help others. His book was truly an inspiration and turned out to be more than I thought in the first few pages. His book made me reflect on my life and how I can relate to him. In his book, Mr. Strickland talks about his meeting with Frank Ross. Frank Ross opens your eyes to ceramics and other aspects of life. I once had a mentor like Frank Ross. His name was Kyle Fullton. He was a bald man about my height. He had a strange accident, because he was from Alaska. He remained in the Army for eight years and was an expert automotive technician. His first time as a teacher was also the first time I met him. He was a funny man who sometimes made little sense. After years spent with him he helped me a lot. Everything from personal problems, to girlfriends and family problems. I learned from an early age that he was a good friend and also a great person to imitate. When I was about fifteen I wanted to join the army and nothing else. He showed me that there were other opportunities in life. Thanks to him I embarked on a path that led me to be more successful in my family and on the path to a great career. I'm still in contact with him about this... half of the paper... as a class assignment. After reading a little more, I found myself running away to read his book. I was amazed that at some points he sacrificed himself and suffered for his dream. I thought everything that happened in his life was fascinating. By the end of his book I wanted more. I researched him more and watched videos of him speaking in public. I looked at the picture of his buildings and was amazed by their appearance. I couldn't believe that this beautiful place was a hub where low-income families could learn new job skills and succeed. His young life was difficult but once he was alone he didn't need anyone to make his dreams possible. I refused to be told no. I think for the rest of my life I will remember reading this book and how inspiring it was. I will never forget his teachings. Show that you always follow your heart and you will be happy.
