Leadership is considered a process with influence on one's followers in which the leader expects the voluntary involvement of team members in the effort to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Effective leadership is described as the extent to which a leader consistently and progressively manages, guides and directs his or her team members towards the destination agreed upon and defined by the entire group.
