We need a better system for funding our government so we don't waste our money when we could be using it for other things that are more important than giving people a meal free life. If we want to stop the obesity crisis, we need to start digging in and starting with the basics. The basics are simple and can easily be adjusted with the help of the hard work of the American people. The first is that everyone on food stamps is required to hold a job at the time of government funding. If they lose their job, their support vanishes until they find another job. I agree that there should be some sort of reward for having a job. If people are working, then they are generating money from taxes to help pay for things like food stamps and roads. People should not be allowed to use public goods and services unless they have a job that generates some sort of tax. The second plan of attack is to give people only what they need and not what they want. If you want something, you should work for it and not make the government pay for it
