Live for todayTomorrow, the day after tomorrow. It is an indefinite time in the future. A question that many people have in mind is: what does tomorrow hold for me? And “if tomorrow never comes,” as a song by country artist Garth Brooks says. Could I say I finished everything I started, or accomplished everything I ever wanted to do, but never did it for fear it was too risky? No one should feel like they didn't take the high road in order to achieve that great adventure. Life is full of ups and downs; it could be described as a huge pot of gold with some dirty stones mixed together. Dirty stones are the few misfortunes one can encounter; gold is what everyone wants and hopefully gets. To achieve anything, you have to take risks and not ask questions about tomorrow. I, like many others, may choose to look into a clear crystal ball and see what the future holds. Instead I decide to look away and be adventurous. In this way I experience the exciting sensation of not knowing what lies behind door number three or four. Yes, it's a scary feeling, but also a hopeful one. Life Experience I had played on the volleyball team during my middle school days, and was a starter on the freshman "A" team when I reached high school. Being a sophomore, I couldn't believe it when they threw in the towel on me. I was devastated when I was cut from the team. Volleyball was my life; I absolutely loved this sport. How could they do this to me? Everyone told me things would be okay, but how did they know? A dear friend of mine wrote me a letter stating, “I know it is difficult right now to accept the paths God has chosen for us, but I am sure that whatever you decide to do with what has been thrown your way , you will be able to surpass everyone else." I thought about what that really meant and decided he was right. I had something thrown at me that I wasn't sure what to do or how to handle, but with a little advice from my brother Chris, I decided to take a risk and try something new. I chose to become a member of our school's cross country team.
