The debate about ghosts and paranormal activity has long been debated around the world. Ghost hunters and investigators have found evidence that Ghosts and the paranormal actually exist. With the use of technology and years of first-hand experience investigators have been able to document and share that the world is not alone. In fact, we live between Ghosts and the Paranormal. “The Ghost, according to tradition, is the spirit of a dead person who returns to the world of the living. “ (World Book Encyclopedia 2011, 182) There are two separate and distinct types of Ghosts. The first type of Ghost is the typical “Halloween ghost”. This ghost is also called the “folklore society ghost”. The ghost of the Folklore Society appears as a shadowy figure in a long, trailing robe. It often looks like something out of a Hollywood movie. The second type of ghost is called a "Psychic Research Society ghost." He often appears with the appearance of a human. It often seems so real that it imitates a person full of life. However, thanks to their ability to move through objects and disappear in an instant, they are easily spotted as real ghosts. Whether the ghost appears real or is from a movie, it is known that the main purpose of all ghosts is to be seen. (O' Neill, 68,74) There are also other purposes besides being seen that some ghosts display. Some ghosts are classified as “malevolent.” This simply means that the person who was once alive could have been murdered, abused, or died violently. Malevolent ghosts are evil and are associated with negative encounters. Their main purpose is said to be to control others through fear. They can also attach themselves to a person, possess... half of a degree... such as a PhD in industrial engineering. Other team members include Sherri Higgins, Linda Davis, David Ross and Edgar Harris. To track or hunt ghosts, special equipment and testing technology are used. MGVRS uses laser digital thermal scanners to monitor surface temperature. Ghost hunters can gather information about the site they will explore. Many different types of cameras, electromagnetic field detectors, thermal scanners and recorders are used to gather the information needed to determine whether the location or case is real. Using these tools, images called "orbs" have been known to appear in infested areas. Orbs are simply floating objects or blurry images that appear in photos taken during an investigation. Cold spots are rooms or sections of the room where there is a noticeable drop in the temperature of the Harris 9 and no one knows why.
