The pharmacy was quite busy and was located near a major hospital. I have served clients from all walks of life, handled declined insurance claims, filled many prescriptions, and detected prescription fraud. Reflecting on my three years there, I take pride in knowing that I handled the workload extremely well, with grace and efficiency. Working in that crowded shop was the best “hands-on” experience; having acquired the maximum knowledge and training that a young pharmacy student could have undertaken. With practically a pharmacy on every corner, pharmacists play such a significant role in the healthcare field. They have countless responsibilities, including checking for drug interactions, answering questions about medications and their effects, and going above and beyond to ensure the health and well-being of their patients.
