The golden age is a time when technology started to increase and many more jobs opened up. However, the Gilded Age was also an era of poverty as very poor European immigrants arrived to find work, but the high wages were for skilled American workers. Railways were the main industry, but the industrial system, mining and trade unions also gained importance. But these improvements occurred only in the East and West, so the South was left economically devastated; its economy became increasingly linked to the production of cotton and tobacco. But the golden age did not just consist of new technological advances, it also consisted of the construction of schools, universities and hospitals by state and local governments, and private ones were also founded, often with the support of local authorities. philanthropists. Another major advancement was the creation of the telephone. Many of these new inventions shape our future, for example the telephone helped us communicate with other people from all over the world. For example, for us right now we cannot live without phones, our lives would be nothing without the phone. Another great advance was the railway, which allowed us to travel much easier and faster, and also allowed us to trade much more easily. Nowadays most things are transported by train, plane, ship. But in the past they had to transport things with horses and carts, this is what motivated them to create the railway which made every day much easier. And all this continuing to go on started during the Golden Age, when people wanted to start inventing and making money. So this era is well known for their creations. I love this era because they created new things that made life so much easier, it gave us phones, kweeyboards and even old ones, it gave us new things to rely on.
