It is the extraordinary process of nurturing and promoting tranquility so that this fragile bond does not crumple at the first touch. Often the man takes this friendly relationship for granted because he believes that he will support himself. However, this is exactly the opposite. Take Malaysia for example, after gaining independence on 31 August 1957, the Malays thought they would be free from colonisation, free from war and suffering, only to be plagued by political and racial issues among themselves. Inevitably, there was Sino-Malay sectarian violence in Kuala Lumpur that left hundreds of Malays dead. Therefore, there is no doubt that both parties must be willing to cooperate together despite the difference in social background, race, belief and religion. Maintaining tranquility is a discreet but tremendously significant step to prevent history from repeating itself
