Considering the relationship between health problem and environment, the New Zealand government has wisely managed to overcome the high incidence of obesity among adults and children. Most people living in disadvantaged areas are unable to afford healthy food for their families, commonly due to high prices, they find it difficult to feed their families the right portion of healthy food. For example, they get $5 meals from McDonald's on the way home from work to save money and time on cooking. The reason they get takeout is because they get paid little and some adults don't have the understanding of what health problems can arise from consuming certain foods. To help reduce the incidence of obesity in New Zealand, the discrimination between rich and poor needs to change. Food prices and health services in the community should be made more accessible so that disadvantaged areas and low-income families can feel safe in their community and can access the services provided at any time.
