Since the beginning of time, men have believed they ruled the world. As time passed, civilizations increased. These civilizations needed someone to lead them. Some memorable leaders of the ancient world were Genghis Khan, Charlemagne, Caesar Augustus, Justinian, and Nero. There were exceptional leaders like Charlemagne and there were inadequate leaders like Hammurabi. How do we define what makes someone a good leader? A good leader should be strategic, diligent, and protective of the people in his empire. Some good examples of leaders who shared these qualities were Mansa Musa, Genghis Khan, Justinian, and Charlemagne. For starters, the great leaders of the ancient world were protective of their people. Even Genghis Khan protected his people using force and violence. Justinian protected his people by staying during the Nika riots and then ending them. Charlemagne also protected his people by going to war. How does being protective demonstrate that someone is a good leader? Being protective of your people is a positive trait. If you don't protect your people, then your empire will too...
