Although attachment to our parents when we were young does not necessarily define our attachment patterns as adults, my style was influenced primarily by my parents (Collins, N. L, 1998). According to attachment theory, sensitive and caring parents are critical to the development of a secure attachment with their children (Ainworth et al, 1967). My parents responded to my needs and helped me have open interactions with other people. Openness and honesty were the main pillars of the relationship between me and my parents. I was able to maintain this style throughout my teenage years as I always tried to be a stronger and better friend to my friends and also to understand my partner in as many ways as possible. Any influence to change my style was always unsuccessful as my parenting was strong and I personally believed in ensuring a healthy relationship in my
