Knowing our culture is very important to understand our environment and that of others. It also helps us understand how people approach different aspects of life, including diet. This is because culture determines our perception and attitude towards particular issues regarding what is useful and what is not, what makes sense and what does not. Some cultures prefer quantitative meals to quality foods which can lead to obesity or even some cardiovascular diseases for people of that culture, while others prefer a balanced diet and therefore a healthy body, in Central America, especially Honduras and Guatemala, they prefer to fry the food first.
