I also work in the staff bank for the diversity of work in other nursing areas and to see and meet new people. My aspirations are to become a registered nurse and work in a variety of settings, but as a career I see myself in an emergency room, with the hope of doing my master's degree and becoming an emergency nurse practitioner, or becoming a nurse manager in a department environment. I am currently doing my Access to HE Nursing Diploma at Kingston College whilst continuing to work in the A&E department. I chose to continue working because I wanted to give myself a realistic expectation of the University, workload with managing both placements and assignments, which is why I travel 2 hours to and from college twice a week. I also want to maintain my skills, continue to care for people and develop my role to help prepare me for the next step as staff
