Transportation Automobiles Medicine and AstronomyTransportation has improved significantly since 1800. Since 1800 we have seen the development of automobiles, trains and airplanes. Before automobiles, covered wagons or horse-drawn carriages were the primary means of transportation. The first automobile was invented in 1885, but the first automobile that would actually be considered a car by today's standards was invented in 1900. It was a 35-horsepower Mercedes developed by Wilhelm Maybach, a... half of paper.. .. ..g things that have to do with the human body. This has led to better healthcare and helped doctors discover and treat diseases they didn't know about before. For example, in 1878, Charles Bennett discovered a way to make more light-sensitive cameras, which immediately began to be used for medical purposes, and then in 1895 Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen began using astronomical X-rays for medical purposes such as detecting fractures and bone breaks. Additionally, astronomical equipment recently developed in the 1990s has helped with retinal imaging, and has been credited with discovering multiple eye-related diseases, and has even helped cure them, which reduces the number of blind people or visually impaired in the general public. All these examples have been useful for the medical world and help treat patients easier than before.
