Topic > Super Natural Horror Movie: The Conjuring - 967

Last year of 2013, my friends and I went to the cinema to watch one of the scariest movies called "The Conjuring". The film The Conjuring is an American supernatural horror film based on a family who has experienced increasingly disturbing events on their farm. Before watching the film, they were given information about the type of content and material that would be in the film. For example, religion became the main factor involved because it had to do with supernatural power, Christianity, and faith. However, believing and non-believing people were still excited to watch the film, but censorship helped alarm viewers of the content shown. In many cases viewers prefer to have a warning or warning of what will appear. Throughout our modern history we have been taught stories, facts, and tales of things that happened in the past. While our entire past does not reflect problems, we still tend to recognize and study past conflicts and times in history that help us understand the history and evolution of who we are today. Sometimes we have come across graphs, video clips and other sources that give us descriptive details of what happened at the time. Such as if a teacher allows her class to watch Emmit Hill's biography video. Emmit Hill was an African American boy who was brutally murdered in Mississippi at the age of 14 after flirting with a white woman. If there are no trigger warnings and all body scenes and images are displayed, I think it is fair for the student to inform the teacher of his feelings towards her and avoid this at all costs by providing trigger warnings. However it all takes up t...... half of the paper ...... contains topics but should not be covered on all of them, mainly because it would take away many of the things taught in our education today. I believe that there needs to be a limit set in trigger warnings, it doesn't need to be a warning not to enter or read, rather it can simply be like a road sign informing readers and viewers what to expect. I do not think it is necessary to implement trigger warnings at Virginia State University because many of the subjects taught are used to challenge and help build higher learning. Furthermore, I have never encountered this problem in any of my classes, and if there was a chance that I would encounter it sooner or later, the teachers at Virginia State would have taken a different approach when discussing contradictory topics. It is clear that placing a warning only distracts from learning to challenge and understand literature and other courses.
