This quote was once said by one of the most famous scientists in history; his name was Galileo Galilei. Born February 15, 1564 in Pisa, Italy. He was an Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher. He had three children; two girls and a boy, but he never married. In 1564 William Shakespeare was also born and Michelangelo died, both very famous even at that time. Galileo's father was called Vincenzo Galilei, he was a well-known musician. Vincenzo wanted Galileo to study medicine. From an early age, Galileo had demonstrated his scientific abilities. When he was seven years old he was sent to study in the Jesuit monastery, but his father abandoned him because Galileo, upon his return, told his father that he wanted to become a monk.
