It may seem impossible to change the world, however, a small group of thoughtful students in Little Rock, Arkansas, called the Little Rock Nine, along with others like SNCC and the Underground Weatherman, prove that changing the world is possible by standing their ground by fighting segregation that was against not only them but all people. One of the most famous cases of integration was the story of the Little Rock Nine, which occurred in Little Rock, Arkansas. At one point in our country, schools were segregated. No white schools admitted black students or black teachers. Through all the adversity the students went through to get there, and the teasing and constant torment they endured and made their way, it is a point in our nation's history that will never be forgotten. The nine students walked towards the high school and knew there would be violence, so they wanted to enter through the back entrance. The white crowds were there to protest because they didn't want any blacks in their school and the reporter was there to support the blacks. The white crowd waiting for the nine students beat the black journalists because they didn't want any more near the school. When the crowd heard that the nine students had entered the school they went crazy. The black students left the back exit securely closed when the rioters entered, so as not to get hurt. After suffering repeated harassment such as kicking, pushing and insults, Nine returned to school every day to continue getting an equal education. They fought in the name of their people but they advance humanity. They have dealt a dramatic blow to educational equity, and their chapter in Kociolek 2, on the history of American education, will be... middle of the paper... in line with peaceful strategies. They wanted action and they wanted it now. The main reason for their actions was opposition to the war in Vietnam, explaining that two thousand people in one day were killed in the war. So, they tried to resist and fight. Even though their strategy failed as I expected by saying "live by the sword, die by the sword", the organization through their actions gets the attention they wanted. In conclusion, the students of these organizations have gone through their lives with weight, to gain freedom, regain hope and remain proud. They wanted to make a change for themselves and their loved ones, friends or family. The traces of their steps are now indelible in history and from that moment on people have followed them because they have demonstrated that it is possible, not easy, to change the world also to make it better..
