“If a man empties his purse into his head, no one will be able to take his purse away. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." (thinkexist.com) In my opinion, Benjamin Franklin said it best. As he once stated, education is not an obsolete creation. In fact, it was proven that getting educated can prevent many diseases, such as Alzheimer's, from infecting the body at an early age. Our nation needs educated children so that we have the necessary progress that our society needs to thrive of educated citizens, every child should go to school from age five to eighteen. For example, if we had more educated people, our society would have more literate citizens in the community. In order for our society to progress, they need to be able to understand what you are reading so that someone can maintain their independence and gain knowledge, people will also be able to learn more about what interests them, so they can understand what they might want to do for their future work in aquatic animals they might understand that they might want to become a biologist marine. Knowing your interests is extremely necessary because then hopefully a person will not despise your work because it is something they are interested in. Additionally, literacy is necessary because then everyone will be able to read menus, be able to understand a recipe, have the ability to read street signs, and be able to function independently. Furthermore, a California state law requires that every child must attend school from the ages of 7 to 16. If a police officer catches a child off campus when ...... middle of paper ......le: Memory is a matter of brains and brawn). Another example that some people might think of is that the nation can lengthen the school day, so that one has to go to school for fewer years. While this may happen, many people may find it unsuitable because they believe in quality family time. In conclusion, every child needs to go to school from the age of 5 to 18. The reasons are: society would like to have many more literate people in the community, it is a law of the state of California and it can increase someone's self-confidence. While kids might not have as much fun, it could end up being good for them. Society needs educated people, without them we may not be able to thrive. They may have less time to have fun and play, but they will learn about their interests. Education is like a wallet: the more someone puts in, the more they receive
