IntroductionOur planet faces serious environmental problems resulting from the excessive use of natural resources, especially in the field of tourism. Even without absorbing resources, some environments known for their beauty are tourist attractions. There are many people who prefer natural attractions to man-made ones. This will increase the arrival in natural places, consequently the environmental impacts will increase due to human use and bad behavior that humans leave on the environment. In this project we will talk about the destination Queensland in Australia and then we will mention some tourist attractions of the city. We chose two attractions: the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. We will state some of the environmental impacts caused by tourists. Finally we will suggest some strategies and methods to overcome these environmental problems. Our choice of destination was the city of Queensland. We chose this destination because of the many interesting attractions the city had, such as the Great Barrier Reef, considered the largest coral reef system in the world. The Daintree Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforests on earth. We will list each attraction and the problems caused by tourists and then suggest some strategies and methods for these two which can overcome the problems mentioned for each of both attractions. Destination Queensland: Queensland or (The Sunshine State) as it is called due to the amount of 261 days of sunshine per year. It is a state located in the north-east of Australia. It is considered the largest state after Western Australia with an area of 1,723,936 square kilometers, at 138°E longitude. Queensland... at the center of the map... rine, which would include bad tourist behavior waste and other forms of pollution.b) Natural threats:3. Coral bleaching: occurs due to the increase in water temperature. The coral reef gets its colors from the algae that live on it. If the water became warmer it would kill the algae, this would cause the bleach effect as it causes the death of the algae, their death will affect the creatures that use them as a food source which will affect the food chain of some organisms.4. Water temperature and climate change: Water temperature starts to increase frequently. Climate change in general is one of the main threats to the future of the coral reef as it risks "bleaching". That the greenhouse effect had carbon dioxide as its main factor, if it continued to increase, coral reef life would suffer from the loss of oxygen.
