This case is about Ethan Couch, a sixteen year old boy who killed four people and injured ten and didn't go to prison because they said he was suffering from the flu. Dr. Miller says the flu is the reason for this crime because he was a privileged child and his parents never said no. Ethan was driving while drunk and the car lost control, swerved into a ditch, hit a car, hit 4 people crashing into another car and both cars overturned leaving 10 people injured. His blood content was 3 times the legal limit for an adult. I think the parents should be to blame. Ethan is a rich kid who was given everything he wanted, from driving at age 13 to living alone on a ranch. Ethan was not given any limitations. He advanced rapidly into adulthood. On the night of the accident, Tonya knew the children in the house were drinking because Ethan had told his mother and she had said not to drink too much and not to drink and drive. His mother was aware that the children were drinking and probably knew that he was capable of drinking while intoxicated because he had said "don't drink and drive". As a parent, he should have gone to the ranch and brought the children home. The Couches neglect Ethan because they separated from him and gave him his place. They were also aware of his drinking habits, Star T says, that his mother Tonya had seen them drinking alcohol and had seen Ethan drunk before. It's obvious that Couch's parenting skills weren't the best because they led to this tragedy
