Blanche is a woman who has a pretty bad life. Her husband committed suicide due to annoying Blanche who annoyed him after realizing that he was homosexual. He lost his job as a teacher because the principal discovered he was having an affair with a teenage student. She was drunk most of the time and trying to be with a man and prove that she was still attractive. After she was fired, she went to live at her sister's house. Her sister Stella was happy to leave her previous life and marry a man of Polish descent named Stanley Kowalski. And his hatred for Blanche begins immediately after meeting her.
