On a hot November day in 2012, three young French girls board a bus in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. They sit at the front of the bus and start singing a French song softly, when the next second a man in his 40s, holding a pram, and a young woman in her 20s get off the bus and start verbally abusing them . telling them “you should kill yourselves. Get out of Australia and go back to your home country, you don't belong here. You're French, you don't deserve to sit in the front on the bus, you go after everyone." Nobody got up to help the girls, a boy filmed the whole thing and not even the bus driver stopped to help. No one has been charged over the incident which has caused much controversy between Australians and its migrants. Many Australians believe that racism no longer exists in Australian society, when in fact it does. There is racism everywhere; work offices, school playgrounds, shopping malls even at home to some extent. Racism is not just discrimination because of someone's color.
