Games, games and intervention in early childhoodGuidelines for the design of toys useful in psychopedagogical therapyToys, games and intervention in early childhoodThis publication is part of the results obtained from the project "Intervention in early childhood through toys and games. Guidelines for the design of useful toys in psychopedagogical therapy", financed by IMPIVA (ERDF funds) and developed by AIJU in collaboration with CDIAT-APADIS. This guide includes information on the problems in early childhood intervention, the needs and requirements the play activities should meet and the characteristics that materials in this field of early childhood intervention should have. As regards intervention for early childhood, psychologists, pedagogues, speech therapists, physiotherapists, educational psychologists and other professionals find toys and games a key tool in therapeutic intervention since the child's motivation and enjoyment play a fundamental role in these types of sessions. The aim of this project is to analyze toys currently used in early childhood interventions and to establish some guidelines for designing toys specifically intended for use in therapy. with children aged 0 to 2 years old, as well as exploring other ways experts and parents can use toys. Finally, we intend to raise awareness among industries of the importance of creating new products in this field.
