If this were a perfect world, when a person underwent surgery there would be no risk of having the after-effects of surgery important. Doctors would be able to diagnose, treat and cure patients without causing harmful side effects, but the reality is the exact opposite. There is something that is helping to improve the perfect world we reside in in the medical field and thanks to Medical Imaging this fact has been improved. The use of medical imaging has provided the opportunity for doctors to see inside a patient without having to open them. Medical imaging is the visualization of body parts, tissues, or organs, for use in the clinical diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of disease. He also helped in many other fields, for example in the field of neurobiology and human behavior. Imaging techniques span the fields of radiology, nuclear medicine and optical imaging and image-guided intervention, furthermore medical imaging is also justified to follow the course of an already diagnosed and/or treated disease. Two important examples of phenomena used for imaging in the field of cancer are positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The way “PET” works is to create computerized images of chemical changes, such as sugar metabolism, that occur in tissues. Radioactive sugar can help in the quest to locate a tumor in a person's body. Since cancer cells absorb or absorb sugar more avidly than other tissues in the body, this is how the tomography may appear. If a tumor is present, radioactive sugar will build up in the tumor. A computer translates this information into images that are interpreted by a radiologist... half of a sheet of paper... gh there are no known harmful side effects associated with exposure to medical imaging, it's never a bad idea to follow certain procedures safety depending on the medical imaging nuclear phenomena used to image. Furthermore, most personnel trained and educated to proceed and conduct medical imaging are not only trained to provide the imaging service, but are also familiar with the maintenance of the equipment they use. The fact that staff are able to conduct this shows how serious the goal of providing the public with the best service and solutions is in the minds of professionals. No doubt the aim of medical imaging is to improve the lives of all kinds of people by showing and providing the solution at an early stage to the general public without having to undergo delicate and life-risking procedures like surgery.
