I learned how to deal with situations that were foreign to me, such as death. It eased my fear of this stranger. I went from feeling overwhelmed during an investigation to being able to understand what needed to be done. So many times, I would try to take on more than I could handle. I soon learned that I could apply it in my everyday life. Everything from buying a car to dealing with the seller. Now I treat sellers as a “suspect”. I also use it when purchasing items like health insurance. Health insurance can be a complicated issue. I have found that asking questions helps make my decision clearer and reveals potential deception. So, I started asking more questions. Even better, now I know how to ask the “right” questions. Who would have thought that by taking my experiences from a death investigation course where I saw people dying for a week straight, I would be able to apply them to my daily life. Ironically, I didn't know what a profound effect this would have on the rest of my life
