Padosan is a film based on the characters Bindu and Bhola, played by Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu. Bhola is a simple man and is the nephew of Thakur Kuwar Pratap Singh. Bindu is a rich and spoiled girl who is the only child. Both Bhola and Bhindu live in India. Bhola lives with his uncle, Kuwar Pratap Singh. He is a twenty-six year old humble man who follows the principles of the book Shashtras. He believes that a man should remain a bachelor until the age of twenty-five, and then enter the life stage of a married breadwinner at the age of twenty-five to fifty. One day, while Bhola is reading the Shashtraas near a river, he discovers that he has the right to marry and coincidentally, meets Bindu on the same day and falls in love with her instantly. When Bhola returns home, he is disgusted with his uncle as he is planning a second marriage with a young girl. Bhola then decides to live with his aunt instead. Coincidentally, when Bhola moves to his aunt's house, he is thrilled to find the girl he loves as his... middle of paper... collection of talent. Padosan's music writer R.D. Burman has composed unique songs for this film. He used a combination of Indian and Western instruments to enhance his songs. For example, in the song “Mere Saamne Wali Khidki Mein” he used reco-reco delightfully. Furthermore, he used Western instruments like saxophone very effectively in “Mere Saamne Wali Khidki Mein”. Furthermore, RD Burman is also recognized for his creativity with musical instruments. For example, he used a paint box, a broom and a paan box as musical instruments. Therefore, his use of musical instruments is unique because he used such a variety of them. Consequently, the fame that RD Burman has achieved stems from his distinction from other musical composers. Thus, RD Burman's achievements took Indian music to a higher level and made his compositions unforgettable.
