South Africa: Telecommunications Dependence South Africa is one of the least developed continents in the world, facing poor income levels and dysfunctional infrastructure, but signs of marketable prosperity are observable (ADLC, 2014, pp. 1-15). South Africa facilitates the gateway to other countries and as branded products imported from the United States continue to gain market share, automotive technology will be at the center of the introduction of a new product into the South African economy. South Africa is home to a wide variety of competitive and profitable markets, however, the technology and implications associated with vehicle manufacturing are well established throughout the world, continuing to increase technological advancements for vehicle technology and increasing occupant safety . South Africa has a thriving automotive industry where communications have been effectively adapted, so importing equipment that facilitates technological communication in addition to traditional global positioning systems would be a marketable venture. Marketable in the sense that South Africa already has a growing automotive industry which will inevitably turn to technological advances, therefore a continued drive for long-term profitability. While this is a vital market with promising profits, organizations seeking to import/export goods and services should become aware of long-distance business relationships and practices. To effectively achieve integrated trade relations with South Africa, import/export businesses must comply with all international trade laws.
