Lincoln is nervous about the Franklin vs. Columbus game because he doesn't know which team to be proud of. Instead he decided to play for himself rather than school pride. Lincoln was still nervous even though he thought he wouldn't play. Since Lincoln can't choose between the two teams, he doesn't care who wins because he's playing for himself. He also sees his teammates nervous and unsure. Lincoln liked both teams, can't pick one. Lincoln keeps friends no matter if they are old or new. Lincoln later loses his nervousness and becomes confident after playing the final quarter. Lincoln enters the locker room and sees that everyone is nervous and unsure too. Lincoln also cares about his old Franklin team. He saw Coach Ramos with the players huddled around him. He saw familiar faces of Louie Estrada, Eddie “Big Foot” Negrete, Warren Higgins, Danny Salinas and Tony. Tony was a second line, not a starter, but he played a good game. Coach Yesutis together, Lincoln did his best to get involved hands-on with Bukowski and Durkins. Their hands were damp with sweat. When Lincoln saw Vicky, his heart jumped like a fish under Columbus' sweats. It sank when she saw a guy sitting very close to her. He looked up and saw the score was 13-7 Franklin. He groaned and stared at the floor. When he looked up again he saw the score was 19-11 Franklin. He saw an unfair foul with Danny Salinas and Bukowski. Salinas pushes Bukowski, but Bukowski pushes back, sending Salinas to the floor. A foul was called, second staff. Lincoln scanned the bleachers and spotted Monica with her father. He smiled and waved, she waved back. The father looked dark and serious, like a Mexican version of Mr. Schulman, al; about business... middle of paper... ln was fooled by his appearance and thought he would be an idiot just like Coach Yesutis. The result was the exact opposite when Roy told him about the idiot coach. In conclusion, Lincoln initially avoided Roy as much as possible because he thought he would be an idiot. Slowly he ran out of excuses. Then he meets Roy and finds the real Roy instead of the Roy he imagined. He also thought that Roy would not care about his difficulties in school. He found that he was very observant and was surprised by how many times Roy had saved him from his unfair trainer, Yesutis. If I were in Lincoln's shoes I would have made a prediction, then I would have met him, maybe I would have made friends with him. I wouldn't judge people's attitudes by their appearance or their favorite color. If they have a Godly attitude, I would try to befriend them. If they have a bad attitude, I would stay away from them as much as possible.
