As I read this chapter, one of the main ideas that touched my heart and mind was “Kingdom Records.” This provides good information on how Christians in psychology can use God's Word to show how God created everything and He alone has the authority over every aspect of our lives. The Christian can use the Word of God to teach the love, faith and grace of God. “The primary intellectual task of Christians is to integrate their religious beliefs with the disciplines that have already been developed” (Stevenson, 2007, p48 ). This idea could be used in a counseling session. The Christian counselor could use God's Word to teach and explain how God is in control of all things visible and invisible. The Christian counselor would demonstrate through God's Word that we do nothing alone. “We believe that our achievements are the result of human effort alone” (Kraft, 1989, p30). Our human nature, the sin into which we were born, makes us think that we do everything alone without the help of anything or anyone.
